Ace!

Rumor has it on the NEFA boards that Shane Peters aced hole 8 on the blues today with a Teebird. Congrats Shane, but be sure to save some for next weekend!

The Final Battle Workday, Sunday @ 8AM

If you own a weedwacker, come on out and help buff the course. If you don't, come on out and help us put the finishing touches on one heck of a rebuilding year.

As an added bonus to the pizza or sub lunch, everyone who helps out will get a free raffle ticket to win stuff at the finals on Sunday. Doubles follows lunch.

Buzz, buzz, buzz

Maple Hill was buzzing with activity this morning as several golfers turned out to get one last competitive round in during the weekly MH 5-0. Not sure who ended up winning, but going by some of the faces, the course was taking its toll on a few. Greg W mumbled something about an unpleasant encounter with a stick or rock.

Over on hole 16, Tom and Joel were working on improving the tee pad by extending it a bit for follow-throughs. Meanwhile, Steve and Vin were making their way around the course installing the new tee signs.

All in all, things are coming together and the course is cleaning up good! There are also new benches on several holes for your sitting pleasure.
